Mark was born & raised in Fairbanks, attending local schools, playing tuba in the school band, and working as a bag boy at Market Basket II.
Hockey has played a huge part in Mark’s life, as a player, a referee, coach and as a member of the Hockey Hall of Fame referee honor roll.
Mark’s interests include time spent at the family cabin at Harding Lake, long rides on his Victory motorcyle, marathon Star Wars screenings, and attending Fairbanks Concert Association events with his wife, Cathy. They have two grown children: Alysia, a nursing student, and Zach, a member of the United States Marine Corp.
Mark’s career in insurance began in 1987. He is currently the Development Director at Rural Alaska Insurance, where he is involved in all aspects of our operations, from scrubbing the carpets to servicing his favorite clients.
